I am like seriously... WHAT?!? It's November already?
what happened to August.. September.. October.. ??
this is really seriously fast man.. did i change a new battery so the seconds tick faster or what?
i am just shock...

been really busy the pass few months.. life is really up to the MAX.. 24 hours a day seems like not enough. I'm sure my wife will agree to that..
having 2 young kids in the house is really no joke. new job also require long working hours and not to mention the traveling part. all that add up = (WHAT?!? It's November already?)

i have a small advice to all you read my blog.. enjoy your life as much as you can now.. be it you are single, double, triple... time is running really fast!! as for me, in no time my babies will be in primary school.. so now i really have to make sure i spend enough time with them. i do not think they will say "daddy! 抱抱!" when they start to go to school...

life is short enough..
live a great life and enjoy the company of loved one around you..
try not to spend too much time playing on phone when you have someone around you..
take time to look at them in the eyes and talk to them.

a very quick update on my current status...

life is just getting more and more challenging.. but pls dont get me wrong.. i really enjoy those challenges.. we will only grow stronger and stronger.. it's really like playing games.. after you kill a boss, we just get level up!! that's life..

work:
entering 5months with Nestle. kind of adjusted to the new life, new work, new environment. very different from my previous technical life.. here the new job is very much about people. working with all kinds of people. the positive and also the negative people. i guess this is just part of business world la. work is very tough and at a very fast phase. deadline after deadline everyday.. but i'm enjoying my work..

life:
as a father of two is not easy to be honest. but is also very rewarding at times when i look at my kids. they are really my pride and joy. now i know why there is a brand called Pride & Joy.. haha.. a very simple smile from my princess or a hug from my prince.. i tell you... no word can describe my feeling.. all the worries, all the tiredness, just go away.

now just need to touch up my time spend with the most important person in my life.. my wife.. i felt like we both have been working very hard for the kids.. and now seems like we have even less time for one another. we both also felt the same thing. Marriage take effort.. just like any other relationship. just have to keep reminding myself that my priority in my life is still my bestest friend.. my wife..

have been listening to Switchfoot a lot lately.. the more i listen, the better the whole Album seems to get. not like those 1 hit wonder la.. Hello Hurricane!! check it out..

today out of a sudden this band just came to me.. the Goo Goo Dolls. almost forgotten.. but they are still good. the music will just bring back memories. i am not sure about you, but music can really take us back to the younger years.. i wonder what else can do that?? may be in our dream sometimes.. (now seldom got dream liaw la.. imagine have to wake up every few hours.. dream not not time to come out la.. hahaha..)

food:
this place i really need to promote! it's Porkie's BBQ at Jln Song..
the food that u have to try there is.. the BBQ spare ribs!! it's the so G.oo.D!!!! it's only RM26. CHEAP DEAL... HUGE Portion.. if not mistaken is 1kg per serving.. must share la ok?? hehe..
unless u r muslim, then i am so sorry.. or else.. i tell you... seriously tell you... go get yourself a spare ribs!! if not.. u will regret for the rest of your life.. hahahaha... (*ahem! yes.. i am serious..)

oh ya.. just 1 thing i have to warn you.. go for the food only ok?? just the food.. the service S.U.C.K.S! waiter and waitress memang tak boleh pakai!! just bare with them.. because of the sO... G.oo.D BBQ spare ribs... dun let them ruin ur day!!

i think i have leave you with good music, good food, good advice.. now when you enjoy those three.. u will have good life.. hahaha..

It's been a while now.. been really busy with so many things lately.
New job is really taking up most of my time. not easy with the new job but i'm enjoying the work.
i'm just going to summarize my recent activities..

job:
currently working with Nestle. this is a really huge company. now working as Nestle Management team Key Account Executive. sounds complicated. but in short is just Marketing guy la. long working hour.. but get to travel less compare to before..
this is a total switch from my previous engineering job. giving up my engineering background is not easy. but so far, i think i'm making the right move.. (I think!)

Home:
wife is getting "heavier" as baby grow bigger in her tummy. so meaning i have more work to do at home. taking care of some house work and also my son. he is now 14mths old and just learn how to walk. following him around at 1st was fun, but try doing that for the next few hours, you will need a break to rest ur back.. no joke tiring.. my life is going to be more and more busy when the arrival of my princess very soon.. hmm.. 4 weeks more? about there.. Gambateh!!

social:
this part is kind of not in my dictionary any more..
it's been like, work and home only lately.. manage to meet up some friends but not much not significant at all..
have to make time to improve this area.. if not i'll be alienated soon..

music:
been listening to many albums lately.. all the albums are great! bruno mars, 30 seconds to Mars, snow patrol, 3rd eyed blind, hillsongs united, etc. and Swithcfoot is just an Awesome Awesome band.. love the songs.. my sister is going to their concert in KL i think.. sigh~~ i also want to go.. but too bad la..

birthday:
31 years old already. this year is really special. i got a HUGE HUGE surprise from my lovely wife. she gave me a surprise birthday party at home.. just me, my wife and my son. i'm really blessed by her. the best ever birthday song sang by the mother and son..

after my favourite band beyond i seldom listen to cantonese song until i met this guy by the name of eason chan. not the best looking guy but his songs are good..

it's easy to find a good song from hong kong music nowadays because there are really not many good songs and good singers.. all are just flower pot. not really my cup of tea..

New Year New Journey

I'm just so excited for 2011. it's going to be a brand new year and brand new challenges ahead. as i'm going to be father again! means there will be extra burden on my shoulders. but it's going to be all good. does this mean that i am going to lose another 10kg? i'm not sure.. let's wait and see.. haha..

finally i got reply from them.. i've been trying to work with them since last year. went for a couple of interviews but no news.. finally i got a call from them on last Thursday. i'm just so so so so shocked!! (in a good way). God really answer my prayers. it's been a very complicated and confused journey. but i'm glad it's all sorted out now. knowing what is my direction for this year and also where to channel my energy. i'll do my very best with this new company to prove myself i can do it. it's not going to be easy. but i'm sure with God by my side and my family behind me to support, i'll make it! (the company name is to be announced in the later blog)

now i'm going to resign from the current company. it's never easy to say good bye. people are nice and helpful. but i think is time for me to move to a whole new chapter and also whole new journey. i'll be stepping away from engineering field for good. i'm not sure how will i cope, but i'll just have to keep my head held high and walk by faith. having the right attitude and also the mindset will get me far. not forgetting the opportunity too.

well.. wish me all the luck and best! i'll reveal more detail in the coming post.

P/S: Thank You Jesus for granting me my heart desire. now i can spend more time with my family and have to travel less. You are a good God who answer our prayers. Thank you...

i miss my wife n my son n my dog very much. no choice i have to travel for work. life is just so different when i have to go away from home. i can be staying in a 5, 6 to million stars hotel and still do not feel at home. seriously there is no place like home.

when i m in kuching, after work i will go pick up my son from the nanny. the moment i come out from the car and he sees me, he will always put a big smile on his face. at that moment, i feel like there is nothing in this world can bring me down. no matter how hard the journey can be, that smile just brush off everything in my mind and on my shoulders..

when i reached home, before i open the gate, my dog will be running around the house wagging it's tail, cant wait for me to go in and give her a nice pat..

and my wife will reached home in a short while. she will always open the main door putting a big sweet smile on her face.. (her smile is what that got me into this relationship.. haha.. old story)

now that i am away from home, thinking of that really makes me miss home even more. but on the other hand, they all give me a very good reason to work harder and also to motivate me to be a better person/husband/daddy.

P/S: Dear Lord, please cover n protect my family all the time. keep them away from harm n evil. Amen.

I seriously cant believe that there is not even a single post for the month of December 2010. What a way to say good bye to 2010. It's been an awesome 2010 for me. the arrival of my son really bring my life to a whole new level and he also open up a lot of new different episodes in my life which i have never experienced in my passed 30 years. everything just evolve around my son right now. he really affect everything in both me and my wife's life. how we eat, how we sleep, how to talk, how we joke.....

I'm beginning to enjoy my new life as a father. knowing that there is so many things for me to learn and also so many thing for me to teach and show as a father just gave me the extra motivation in life to be a better person.

the journey ahead of me is not going to be easy. but i'm just going to take my own pace and enjoy every single moment in life. be it sweet, bitter, sour, spicy or tasteless..

Father & Son is a very special relationship. after becoming a father only i get to see and experience more of a role as a father.

now that i am both son and a father. this make me even more "special".

when i was just a son.. there are many things that my father did that i will never understand until the day i become father. suddenly everything just make sense. a father will do anything to make sure that the son has the best. a father will try all kinds of thing to make sure the son is happy. while the father is trying and doing, the son might not feel that and not appreciate at all. but that will not mater until the father see the final result... which is the smile on his son's face.

This is also a reminder for me as God is our Father in Heaven and we are his children. He will always give us the best and His love for us is just so amazing. the Heavenly Father's love for us is the greatest love of all! Thank you Lord!

Today it's a very special day that i need to blog it down.

My son got his very first tooth!

it's just so so so cute.. hahaha.. no wonder he keeps using his tongue to touch his lower gum recently and his saliva just flow like Niagara Fall!

pheeeww... I didnt know that my D90 is such a tough lady until i saw this video. It's very dangerous! Do NOT try this at home. well.. unless u are super duper yuper rich and RICH!

I just completed a DIY Project for my D90. It's a Diffuser for the Pop-Up Flash. Very simple and the effect seems pretty good. I will try to use that in the coming Wedding event and see if that can help get a better pictures. So far i'm quite happy with the result!

I remember when i was young, my elder cousins always tell me that we are not to look at the full moon. if we do so, we might slowly turn into a monster or animal. and we should not point our finger at the moon. if we do so, our ear will be cut off. then they start telling me the "real life story" of what happened. i can still remember all that stories in my head. but there is an exception. the only time the moon become "friendly" is during moon cake festival! i also dunno why. you can sing, u can talk, you and point at the moon.. no worries...

now when i think about it.. it's really funny and silly. but when you are young and innocent, u just believe everything the elder people tells you.

I have always wanted to shoot the moon. This is the best shot that i can get with my Nikon D90.

Years ago, I asked God to give me a spouse, "You don't own because you didn't ask" God said. Not only I asked for a spouse but also explained what kind of spouse I wanted.

I want a nice, tender, forgiving, passionate, honest, peaceful, generous, understanding, pleasant, warm, intelligent, humorous, attentive, compassionate and truthful. I even mentioned the physical characteristics I dreamt about. As time went by I added the required list of my wanted spouse.

I film my son "reading" his favorite Zoo Book. I cant stop laughing deep inside seeing how serious he was when he was reading the book. hahaha..

I told my wife i have to blog this moment. so that next time i can show him and let him see for himself.

He is so serious and focus and not distracted at all. i am just so amused by that. normally he loves to follow my voice. but i guess the book is more attractive than my voice la.

My wife asked me a question that kept me thinking over n over again.

How can 1 mother take care of many children n many children cant take care of 1 mother?

This is a very simple question that she read somewhere. But after she told me. I keep thinking abt this question.

My son caught a flu yesterday and it's seriously not fun! He woke up every hour. Yes! No joke every hour. He got problem breathing due to nose block. He is too young to blow his nose. He suck his thumb when he is sleeping. That means there is no other way to breath! Unless he dun suck his thumb. If he dun suck his thumb means he cant sleep. He dun sleep means nobody sleep!!

Weekend it's suppose to give us rest so we can face d coming week. But this weekend is worse than normal working day. I'm exhausted before the new week even started!

I'm sure when i was young, my parents would do the same thing to me when i fell sick.

Now the question is will i do the same to them when they grow old one day?

Been really busy lately. Seems like 24 hours a day is not enough. time flies really fast and everyday is like passing by without me knowing it especially when i am traveling so much.

Finally get to stay at home for a week without traveling. it's really great to be able to be home with my wife and Isaac. Able to kiss them both before sleep and waking up knowing that they are just beside me is just awesome feeling.

when i am away i really miss home and miss spending time with my beloved wife and son. but when i am at home means i got other things to do too.. like laundry, ironing, washing dishes, feeding gucci, feeding isaac, play with him.. well i guess i am not perfect la. i am also a lazy person. so if i do not do my part at home, my wife will start "singing" her "songs".. but it's all good la.. i'm sure that happens everywhere right?

now that i know having a 幸福 (happiness) family is not easy. it requires "Hard Work" really! everyone in the family has to take part and involve in this. 幸福 does not just fall the sky. you want it? you need to work for it. make it happen. and you will have it.

it's been a very down or should i say low season for me lately. i am not sure what is the main factor. but the impact is really there. not very motivated and also not very encouraged. seems like i'm struggling and trying to find my way out in the dark tunnel.

i was sitting in the room fooling around with my camera. i am not sure why i shoot the following picture.. but some how the picture just speaks to me as i was trying view the picture in my computer.

suddenly i see LIGHT. when i see light... i feel HOPE..

I will find my way out from the tunnel!!!

I've been traveling a lot lately. when i say a lot means A LOT! every week i am away. seems like non-stop flying. keep going to the airport.. seems like airport is like my bus stop during high school time.

Covering both Sabah and Sarawak is really not an easy task! i spend a lot of time traveling from one place to another place.

working pressure is begin to build up. not able to see my wife n son is also demoralizing my spirit.

I need a break. (too bad Kit-Kat cant do the job this time..)

I want to Praise the Almighty God for what He had done today!

This morning i drove all the way to Sri Aman to attend a service call from Klinik Kesihatan Sri Aman. As usual i checked my car the night before.

1. Water, Checked!
2. Oil, Checked!
3. Petrol, Checked!
4. Battery, Checked!
5. Music CDs, Checked!! (this is important to keep me awake.. yeah~)

early this morning i got into the car and started driving. i started with a very simple prayer. I prayed to God and ask for a safe and smooth trip.

As i was driving, the weather was awesome. clear and cloudy. not hot at all. besides, there are not many big vehicles on the road also. it took me about 3 hours to reached the clinic. i took a look at the problem and mange to fixed it within 2 hours time. since i am already there i helped the user to run some test and every was fine.

before i drove back to Kuching, i took a drive around town to look see look see.. Suddenly i felt that my clutch and gear got some problem. not very smooth kind of feeling.. i thought may be just my driving skill not good.. or may be i shifted the gear too fast that caused the problem.

since Sri Aman is so AMAN.. and there is nothing much but AMAN.. i say good bye and started heading back home... As i was driving half way, i felt that my clutch do not come back to original position and stay at down position. i could not shift gear at all.. ngam ngam that time i was about to overtake a small little Kancil... and there was a bus coming my way pretty fast also. so i failed and have to stick behind his back for a while.. suddenly the clutch went back to original position and i am able to drive like normal again. but.. everytime i shifted gear, the sound just get louder and rougher.. with that kind of condition, i drove all the way back to Kuching. not knowing what is the problem.

when i reached Kuching, i took my car to the workshop to have a look. on my way to the workshop, i stop at traffic light and suddenly my cluctch and gearbox just jammed! there is no way i can slot in any gear. only 3rd gear is able to force in. so i have to drive with only 3rd gear all the way to the workshop.

when they "head hand" (hokkien) checked on my car. the clutch pump is Jammed and there is a leak at the pump!! i was like cant stop Praising God for SAFE journey and nothing happen to me. i cont imagine if my clutch just jammed half way when i was trying to over take the long and heavy truck or bus....

It cost my RM230 to replace the whole thing. but it's worth every sen.. Safety First!!! esp now i am a father and husband to my child and wife..

After when i share with my wife and my mother about what happened today. they both told me that they also prayed for me today! wow.. i was like.. so thankful..

The power of Prayer! and God answers our prayer!!

the fact that i can blog today is already a simple prayer answered by God!! Thank you Jesus!

The Story Behind the Picture of "The Praying Hands"

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood.

Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder's children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy.

After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and, with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. Then, when that brother who won the toss completed his studies, in four years, he would support the other brother at the academy, either with sales of his artwork or, if necessary, also by laboring in the mines.

They tossed a coin on a Sunday morning after church. Albrecht Durer won the toss and went off to Nuremberg.

Albert went down into the dangerous mines and, for the next four years, financed his brother, whose work at the academy was almost an immediate sensation. Albrecht's etchings, his woodcuts, and his oils were far better than those of most of his professors, and by the time he graduated, he was beginning to earn considerable fees for his commissioned works.

When the young artist returned to his village, the Durer family held a festive dinner on their lawn to celebrate Albrecht's triumphant homecoming. After a long and memorable meal, punctuated with music and laughter, Albrecht rose from his honored position at the head of the table to drink a toast to his beloved brother for the years of sacrifice that had enabled Albrecht to fulfill his ambition. His closing words were, "And now, Albert, blessed brother of mine, now it is your turn. Now you can go to Nuremberg to pursue your dream, and I will take care of you."

All heads turned in eager expectation to the far end of the table where Albert sat, tears streaming down his pale face, shaking his lowered head from side to side while he sobbed and repeated, over and over, "No ...no ...no ...no."

Finally, Albert rose and wiped the tears from his cheeks. He glanced down the long table at the faces he loved, and then, holding his hands close to his right cheek, he said softly, "No, brother. I cannot go to Nuremberg. It is too late for me. Look ... look what four years in the mines have done to my hands! The bones in every finger have been smashed at least once, and lately I have been suffering from arthritis so badly in my right hand that I cannot even hold a glass to return your toast, much less make delicate lines on parchment or canvas with a pen or a brush. No, brother ... for me it is too late."

More than 450 years have passed. By now, Albrecht Durer's hundreds of masterful portraits, pen and silver-point sketches, watercolors, charcoals, woodcuts, and copper engravings hang in every great museum in the world, but the odds are great that you, like most people, are familiar with only one of Albrecht Durer's works. More than merely being familiar with it, you very well may have a reproduction hanging in your home or office.

One day, to pay homage to Albert for all that he had sacrificed, Albrecht Durer painstakingly drew his brother's abused hands with palms together and thin fingers stretched skyward. He called his powerful drawing simply "Hands," but the entire world almost immediately opened their hearts to his great masterpiece and renamed his tribute of love "The Praying Hands."

The next time you see a copy of that touching creation, take a second look. Let it be your reminder, if you still need one, that no one - no one - - ever makes it alone!

This morning i went to Shell to feed my car.. Suddenly i saw this very big sign written V-Power!! I was like! Wow.. cool... finally Sarawak also got V-power.. normally only available in Semenanjung..

I was so excited.. i quickly turn my car and to check out!! to my biggest shock!! it's written.. V-Power Ron-97!!!!! i was like What the.....!!! sounds like another big SCAM!!!!

Last time it's known as Unleaded aka Super... later change to Ron-97... i guess we all remember very clear what happen after the name change right? Price increased!! from 1.80 to 2.05!!!

Regular become Ron-95... same thing.. Price increased!!

AND.....

Now guess what??? Ron-97 become V-Power Ron-97!!!

Ron-95 become Unleaded Ron-95...

Mark my word... Petrol Price is going to increase again!!!!! Very SOON!!!!!

I went out for some shooting yesterday. went to my wife's office to pick her back from work and while waiting for her to come down. i just took some random shot at the surrounding la. i am quite amazed by the power of D90. i am still very new to Digital Photography. need to explore more.. hopefully got more time to go around Kuching to take some cool pictures..

Finally i got my new toy!! Nikon D90... it's really an awesome camera.. wow.. am really loving it!! No regret la! really.. worth all my time researching and reading.. GREAT!!!

here are just some photos to share.. I still need to practice more to get a better feel.. need to practice more to get to know the camera more also.. now still not familiar yet.. need to feel her more.. then i believe she will do wonders.. haha.. give me some time and i will improve..

this can consider my baseline la.. hahaha... next time compare should be able to see improvement. yeah~~

Brand new ME!

I have not cut my hair since January 2010. I thought keeping long hair will be easier to maintain. u know la.. taking care of baby is really taking up most of my time until i dun even have time to make my own hair. long hair i just have to comb left side, then comb right side.. then Kau Tim! haha.. but after 4 months.. my hair is like back to 1998 high school time.

my wife complain that i look very messy and also very old fashion! then i tried to improve my look.. haha.. Justin Bieber...

Hahaha.. i know.. i'm sorry.. i see myself also wanna puke!! that's why i decided to go for a hair cut. a friend ask me to perm! mayb look like Korea Movie Star?

Erm.. may be next time only la. i'm too busy taking care of my son. no time to entertain the other ladies la.. imagine i go out with that kind of look.. sure very busy 1 la.. haha.. and also i try not to break their heart la.. i'm married with 1 kid!! yeah~

After 1 hour of transformation.. and pay RM48 for a Cut and Rinse by a guy named Roger. I think it's quite expensive la.. for Cut and Rinse only. normally should be cut and wash la. but i'm quite happy with the result la.. this is how i look now.. i told him i wanted to have a hair cut that is clean and easy to maintain. i also show him a picture la.. hehe...

Please compare the hair only ok? i'm not trying to look like him..

I think quite OK la.. not too bad.. at least look cleaner and most importantly.. my wife like it!! yeah~~ not sure about my son.. he as usual la.. stare at me with a blank face!! haha..

My church is having a church camp. so i went to Santubong yesterday for a swim since i cant join the rest for the camp. it was a really great 4 hours getaway! the weather was really great and the sea is almost.. almost as clear as the sea in KK la.. the feeling of floating in the sea with my ear covered up under the sea water.. can only hear my own breathing and my heart beat.. really bring peace back to me..

After the swim, me and my wife went to Buntal for some seafood. wanted to have Crab.. but no have. so have to settle with the second best la.. we had butter prawn, kung pao fried cuttle fish, a vegetable and lemon chicken! to my surprise, the Kung pao cuttle fish is Amazingly Delicious! i know.. i'm so sorry.. the food was too good that i forgot to take a snap and share my view with you! haha..

It was really a wonderful 4 hours of event! we chit-chat and had a lot of fun. and my wife actually is quite funny. her L.A.M.E joke really makes me laugh! I had a great time and hope can have another wonderful 4 hours in the near future..

p/s: parenting is really not joke task! i do not need a week Europe Vacation + Luxurious dinner! now.. a 4 hours getaway to Santubong and some nice kung pao cuttle fish is good enough! plus the L.A.M.E Jokes la.. haha..

Happy Mother's Day 2010

I really really wanna wish all the mothers in this world a Happy Mother's day.. It's really not easy to become a mother. after witnessing my wife from a lady to a woman to a mother.. it's really a no joke task ok! (Thank God i'm a MAN..)

mothers have to go through a long period of changes both physically and mentally. I am not sure if man/men can take up this task or not.. (mayb can't! that's why only lady can give birth!)

let's start with Physical:
1. BODY SHAPE change!! from ")(" to "( )"
2. during pregnancy sleeping habit, style, position, time all change. (no more your favorite pose or time)
3. walk also become very "chor loh"
4. face also become "bengkak" from "kua ci' face to "fa sui roti" face..
5. feet cant fit into those 10" heels... need to only wear stupid "CROCS" shoes..
6. no more tight jeans... no more mini skirts..
7. pimples all over her face and body due to hormone changes..
8. cant eat your favorite food.. like char kueh tiaw, KFC, Mc.D, IceCream,...etc only healthy food!
9. imagine carry another 10kg around your body everyday. sure gonna have backache and also foot pain..
10. u get tired all the time..

now the Mental part.
1. your memory start to decay.. short term memory..
2. stress out easily.. when baby kick you stress.. when baby dont kick you also stress.. stress!!
3. see other lady in nice dress and high heel.. you start to stress again...
4. see something you like and you can have it.. like deliciously sinful food!!
5. The worst past is.. Shopping!!!! i know all the girls love to SHOP! imagine this.. you like a pair of latest MNG super skinny tight Jeans.. WAH!!! so nice and GUESS WHAT!! ngam-ngam that time got 90% discount! YO! 90% discount ok?? only cost you about RM15/pc. u cant even try.. imagine u pregnant, bring a pair of those jeans to fitting room.. people will think you SIAW!!

there are more la.. but i think the point is clear liaw la..

the pain that mothers have to go through during labour.. tsk tsk tsk.. i tell you.. Wait!! i also dunno how to tell you la.. go and ask your mummy ok? the other day my mum told me that she had to go through pain for 4.5DAYs!! my wife 1 day also almost wanna DIE liaw.. imagine 30 years ago.. (oh ya.. i am 30 liaw! sigh..) medical equipment/technology not so good.. pain killer also dunno can kill pain or not la.. 4.5 days!! walauler... RESPECT!!

I hope this sharing can help you to appreciate your mum more. Mothers are also human. they also make mistake. they are not perfect. we seriously need to treat them better and also appreciate what they have gone through to bring you and me to this world.

She always try to give us the best. until the stage that she would rather not to spend anything on herself. she would give give give until there is nothing more to offer to us.. she loves us so much.. everytime when i go back home i always get "royal treatment"! she will cook anything we requested. she would bake any cakes or cookies as long as we requested! it will be on the table tomorrow. i can guarantee that! she would do my laundry and iron my clothes! Becoming a parent is really going to the next level! I never really understood the feeling of my parents until i become one. i can tell u.. it's not easy!! please appreciate your parents ok?

suddenly my life is so completely different compare to before 11th Feb 2010! hehe.. before i can do anything i like at anytime i want! i can play ps2 anytime i want, i can read/write blog at anytime. can facebook for long hours.. enjoy my time watching TV (football for 90mins).. go yam cha with friends.. fishing.. aduh~~~ the more i type.. the more depress i will become la..

suddenly all that is taken away from me after the born of my son. so guys!! are you ready to let go of all that? i mean ALL!! Suddenly God just show me the real meaning of ALL when He told me that He took ALL my sins away! wow.. amazing.. Praise God..

okok.. come back.. to be very honest, i never knew it will be like that at all. a friend told me once.. "sleep more while u can..!" after hearing that it doesn't register in my brain at all. now i fully understand what he was trying to tell me.. but too late la.. hahaha... "IF!!!! IF ONLY" is what i can say now...

Suddenly this life of mine is not about me anymore.. not about my wife also.. Suddenly everything is about Isaac. everything just seems to run and work around Isaac. i can only sleep when he is asleep. if he dun sleep.. NOBODY sleeps!! i can only eat when he is done eating or is sleeping. sometimes too tired to eat after kautim him!

husband and wife really need to work together as a team. this is really important ok? i felt that both me and Kim are really a good team. we help one another a lot to make this new journey a lot easier. i cant do this on my own. she will collapse if i do not help her at all. i really respect those single parent la. have to raise up the children on their own. R.E.S.P.E.C.T!

BUT... it's really a joy to see him grow everyday. i really want to thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful wife and also son. i really hope that i can be a good husband and also father. i am still learning and i am willing to change my old self. to be more sacrificial and selfless. it is not easy but i believe that God will continue to give me the strength and also joy as day goes by.

i think everyone will come across this path sooner or later. unless ur father is so darn rich that u do not have to worry about money or work at all.. then u will really live like the prince and princess in the story book happily ever after.. see.. even the story book also know only Prince and Princess can live happily ever after..

I am just an average guy in this world trying my best to work hard and get money to support my family. I do not have a darn rich father.. (I thank God for that! I am happy with what my parents have given me! hehe..) so now i need to pick up my own butt and work for MONEY. we can easily say that money is not important. but when come to the dinner table. no money really no talk la..

is there a job that can have the following requirement?
1. High Pay ($$$$$.$$)
2. No Stress
3. No need to travel around
4. No need to work shift
5. Flexible working hour
6. Have a lot of time for family
7. BIG Bonus every year

is this possible? if you do have a vacancy out there.. please let me know and HIRE ME!! I really need that job!

my job nature is i have to take care of the whole HOSPITAL in SARAWAK.. and Sarawak is a big piece of land. Bigger than West Malaysia. The population is not as crowded as WM. But still.. to cover Sarawak is really no joke.. i have to travel. limited flight around Sarawak. lousy road everywhere. there is no highway! what can i do?

now that i have another new member in my family. life just got more interesting. it's really not easy to take care of a small baby. if me and kim are there to take care of him then it would be alot easier. but when taking care of him alone. it's really a heavy and difficult task!

i know that family is important. but what can i do? look for another job. is it really that easy to find job in Kuching? i am so confused la.. i do not believe that there is a perfect job other there. i think now i just have to figure out another way to solve this problem. if u have any idea, please share with me. we can learn from one another.

I am now a father. i mean a F.A.T.H.E.R! i seriously do not know how to express my feeling. i have never imagine myself as a father. wow... to be very honest. it is not easy at all.

my son came on the 11th Feb 2010. when i 1st saw him, i am really speechless. it's like meeting someone who is always with you but you have never see him before. when he was still in my wife's tummy, everynight i sing to him, i speak to him, i tell him shot stories, play him some nice music, tell him how much i love him. but i never see him before. when he came out from OT, it just bring tears to my eyes. it's unspeakable JOY!

when i was a bachelor, i do not have to worry about anything. just me myself and I. after i got married, i learn that life is not just about me. i need to put my wife in consideration. her view, her feeling, her everything before i make any decision. NOW... i felt that my resposible as the head of the house just increased! now only only need to consider my wife, i need to make decision for my son. and every decision that i make will determine how he will be in the future. it is my resposibility as a father. besides, now i need to work extra hard to find money to support this new family of mine.

my son is really a gift from God. i thank you Lord for blessing me with a son. this "promotion" really just bring to me a whole new level. everyday when i hold him in my arm and smell his hair, that moment is just priceless and speechless. see him grow everyday is really a joy.

my lifestyle is also force to change now. before the arrival of my son, both me and my wife can sleep from night until morning undisturb. the only thing that will wake us up in the morning is my stupid but faithful alarm clock! i am not sure about you. i hate my alarm clock!

now i just got myself a new time bomb! the new "alarm clock" is crazy. the alarm can go off anytime. yes ANYTIME! when the 'alarm' is either hungry, wet, cold, hot, poo-poo, and many others that is yet to reveal, i will be trigger. the best thing about this alarm is... i cant SNOOZE!!! i just have to get out from the cosy comforter and attend to the "alarm". each wake is not just 5min. can be from 1 hour to 4 hours. there goes my sleep. this is really tired both physically and mentally.

BUT... very funny i'm enjoying every single moment from making milk, feeding him, washing his butt, cleaning the poo-poo, changing the nappy, etc.

Dear Lord,
i just pray that You will give me the extra strength to carry on this great responsibility and also to carry out the duty as a good father. Amen!

I didn't know to write an interesting, amusing, attention seeking blog is so TOUGH!!! Need to be careful with the spelling and the grammar which were same as writing a proper essay in University time. Really respect those blogger who are willing to spend long hours of their precious time to write to entertain strangers outside the world and also may be some aliens as well.

Hubby kept pressuring me to write something in his blog in order to make his blog ALIVE!!! "Where got like dat one???" Few weeks ago, I just suggested to him to put a graveyard picture in his blog and declared RIP. *grin* But I think he don't want I guess.

What should I share? Something lovely dovey that makes readers puke? Something personal that readers would start to judge me? Something to show off that makes readers think I am being 'hao lian"? Something stupid to amuse the readers? *scratching my head*

WALAO le...Say dont know what to write, the introduction is getting longer and longer!!! *self amused first*

Just want to let the whole world know that there is still 2 weeks left that we going to welcome the little PUI to our family. Expected due date is 16 Feb 2010.

Feeling? Of course nervous > excited as for me. I really have no idea what to expect at all as i opt for natural birth. An aunty from Church told me is better to opt for natural birth as you can experience the JOY and RELIEF when you know the baby is successfully being "push" out from your tummy. I believe it is true after the long hours of pain and all the struggles.

Really pray that I could be a good mummy for the little one and good wife for the big one after this pregnancy.

It's been a very very busy December 2009 for me. I hardly stay in Kuching for the whole December 2009. I was away most of the time. I traveled every week from the 1st week of December until the very last week of 2009. It's all about work. i do not want to go into detail about my work. But i just want to say I had a great year 2009.

My Top 10 Events in 2009:

1. WD (Western Digital) announced closing down of Kuching plant.. I was working there that time..
= God gave me the Peace and Comfort that i have never felt before!

2. I found a new job with Roche Diagnostics not long after the WD's announcement..
= God shows me that He really will take care of me.

3. I traveled quite a bit this year with the new job and went to places that I've never been before.
= Tawau, Lahad Datu, Kota Marudu, Bintulu, Miri, Sibu, Sadong Jaya, etc.

4. Lost my beloved Grandpa and 2nd Kio-Kio..
= I know that they are now at a better place without pain and suffering..

5. Organized Destiny Conference 2009 in Borneo Convention Center with my fellow Jesus Freaks!
= I believe this is a history making moment in Kuching. We will usher in God's present to Kuching more and see more lives change for God! Young people fired up and taking up the cross for Jesus!

6. Went Overseas for both Work and Training.
= Shanghai, Bangkok and Brunei. It's amazing to experience life is different countries..

7. Ps.John Step down as FBC Pastor. FBC is split into 2.
= It's sad to see people leave. good friends left. But i know God is in control. Things always happen for a reason. If it is for God, it's sure going to be a good thing!

8. The death of a SUPER STAR..... Michael Jackson.
= I am not a really hardcore fan. but it is some how significant for me to mention here. He is a real LEGEND! R.I.P Michael!

9. Went for a Hiking and Camping trip in Bako with Friends..
= That really bring me away from my comfort zone. Hike to camp site and pitch a tent to stay for 1 night by the sea. It's really an amazing experience.. Brings me back to the time when i was still a Boys Brigade! haha.. Amazing stuff!

10. My wife is pregnant with a baby boy!!!
= hahaha.. Praise the Lord..

It's been a very very fruitful 2009! I really thank God for that. we should seriously spend more time counting our blessing. It will really help you in many ways.. It helps me!! hehe..

I can smell that it's gonna be a very very BUSY 2010 for me. hehe.. With a baby on his way to my house and the current job traveling schedule. I do not know how is this going to help. but.. i always trust in God. He knows what is best for me and He will give me the wisdom to find a solution.

As promised, i will upload some of my pictures from Shanghai. So sorry for keeping you guys waiting. have been really busy after got back from Shanghai. SO many things to do.

I hope the following pictures will give you some idea of my trip there..

I stayed in the hotel called Howard Johnson. It cost me about RMB840/night. by right for that kind of price, it should b a very nice hotel. but after i got into the room, seems like the room is very small compare to Sofitel in Bangkok. But the 1 thing i love about the hotel is the shower Head. like shower in the rain la.. hehe..

I stayed on the 8th floor. The view from my room is so so only la.. nothing much to see..

now that i am back home, i begin to think that may b my out station life will begin to increase again with this new company. I am not sure yet. but i seriously hope that will not happen. Just before i got married, i traveled so much.. seriously i stayed in Hotel more than i stayed at home. the time I spend in the plane is more than my own car la.. for a bachelor that kind of life style is amazing. can go around many places and see many different thing, experience different culture and also meet new friends. the best part of that is all that it's paid for!! hahaha...

but after married, i felt that it's more difficult to fly so often and also i seems like more reluctant to move around. i also dunno why.. may b is the commitment and also differnt type of lifestyle after married. further more i am not sure how am i going to cope after the arrival of my baby.. we will see how that is going to change my life again la.. i have been getting a lot of advice from many people already. what i can say is..i will try my best and always give me best for my wife and son..

So Sorry for not able to update anything for the pass few weeks. I was in China Shanghai for training. In China, they block everything. So i was kind of cut off from my normal connection. Really out of touch from the world..

Now I am back in Malaysia!! not home yet.. but on my way HOME.. i'm sitting in KLIA waiting for my connecting flight at 7pm. Hope there is no delay and i can go back home. Really miss home this trip.

Malaysia Airlines New Scam

Recently MAS has got a new idea to cheat all the passengers. Last Thursday when i was on my way to KK. My flight was 9am and the boarding time was 830am. I ask the counter if there is going to be any delay, they said NO! So that's very good.

I went into the waiting hall as usual. then at around 830am i went to the gate and hope can get on to the plane and rest. but when i get to the gate, suddenly there is an announcement saying the flight is delay to 940am. So i think 40min should b fine.

at 940am they announced and ask everyone to board the aircraft. so everyone just happily Q up and get to their seat. normally i will get into the flight and get comfortable and try to get some sleep. i closed my eyes and try to rest. after a while when i opened my eyes, to my surprise, i am still at the same location. no movement at all. then i looked at my watch, it's already 1015am. i was like "WTF?!?" 1030am only the flight started to move and the "safety show" begin..

See.. now if they announced the delay is until 1030am they might have to give all the passengers free meal. that is going to cost them money. By doing what they did to me, they save money and waste our time!! This is really not Professional at all. is not that i like to eat the free meal la.. just that please tell me the real flight time please. so i can plan my travelling schedule ahead..

i still wonder as a consumer or customer, is there anyway to lodge a complain for flight delay or retime? waiting in the airport is really not fun at all. This is really driving me crazy!!

How come MAS do not inform their customer about their flight delay or retime? Airasia is really doing a great job on this. I pay full price for all my MAS flights. and that is not cheap. and yet.. i do not get any sms from MAS which may only cost as low as 2cents?? sigh~~

Yesterday morning me and my wife went out for breakfast just like every other day. nothing different. may be the weather a bit nicer la.. no rain and not too hot also.. but when i started my car engine, the sound a bit different.

NORMAL:
"Kik-Kik! Vroooooooooommmmm...."

Not NORMAL:
"Kik........Kik........Kik! Vroooooooooommmm...." (........ means silence)

So I thought may be i travel too much until the car battery also weak.. need to charge abit la.. so after breakfast i took my car for a ride. i drove all the way to Bako! yeah~~~ BAKO!! road damn straight and also not many car there.. so u know what i can do la.. hehehe...

when i arrived at that straight road, i turn off the aircon because this will "jiak tien", wind down the windows abit.. turn off the radio then I just "chiong" to my red stallion's limit la.. hehe... so long i din bring my red stallion go for a spin liaw.. i seriously cant remember the last time we went out for a secret date without my wife liaw.. so long that after chiong for a while my palm started to sweat la.. hehe.. but it's good for my heart once in a while.. hahaha...

P/S: Please do not try this at home or any other place!! Because only Highly trained Professional Driver like me can do that.. hehe..

after if i'm not mistaken about 4 laps, i slow down and park my car by the road side to call one of my customer.. telling him that i will be late.. (hehe.. this is what everyone must learn ok? do not use handphone while driving...) during the phone call i do not know why my hand so itchy go and turn off the car's engine.

Guess what? my red Stallion refuse to wake up liaw.. i am some where near Kampung Gobielt.. that is where i normally go fishing la.. but it's very far from town. suddenly i think of my "car pusher".. too bad during that day he is not around.. He is in Miri.. where is he when u need him the most!! hahaha... (Sam is my car pusher.. last time my car died also he help me to push!!)

Well like i said.. there is not many cars around that area.. so no 1 really will stop down and help me push my car la.. so i have no choice but to call the mechanic to come and have a look at my car.. really pai se la.. i'm so far from town la..

While waiting.. i just took some pictures of my fainted Red Stallion.. Wonder how much she will worth today la.. still looking great rite?? hehe... no photoshop 1 ok??

after the mechanic replace a brand new battery, she is up and kicking again!! i scared she suddenly merajuk again, so i drove her to the workshop for service la.. Total cost me RM210.

Guys.. make sure u treat ur girl.. i mean car right ok? if she merajuk, i tell u.. it's gonna cost the same amount as ur girl friend ok? life is not easy for guys la..

Hmmmm.... suddenly my smart brain come out with this theory..

For my this new job, i get to travel a lot. This is really good and bad thing for me la.. I really love to travel. I like to see many different thing and also experience different thing. SO far, now i have almost cover the whole Sabah only Sandakan left. Yeah~~ I think a Sabahan also do not dare to say that la.. hehe.. Sarawak will be the next la.. since i am based in Kuching and take care of the whole Sarawak Hospitals. And not forgetting Brunei and Labuan..

But now that i am married, i still love to travel just that travelling alone and leave her alone back home just do not feel so right for me. How i wish my wife can follow me around and also share n experience the same thing that i encounter. But this is not possible la with her current job position and also she is pregnant.. (make me more difficult.. leaving both mummy and baby behind..)

Now i go to airport more than i go to eat Kam Pua la. Sigh~ But the good thing is i get to fly with Malaysia Airlines. At the beginning, i thought MAS should be great la. More space, no need to fight with other people for seat, got food to eat, more relaxing, not much delay.... BUT!!!! all that is not true.. sigh~~ Mayb the fighting for seat part only la..

I have encounter many many time flight delay by MAS. They normally do not give me any reason why the flight is delayed. I asked them what happen? they just say technical problem. Weather is bad (outside is a sunny day).. I also blur la.. But the funny thing is.. MAS they do not use the word Delay.. They say RETIME!!

Can someone please tell me what is the different? I am wondering if i can ask for compensation for my time loss. Time wasted waiting in Airport.. If we all agree that Time = Money. So my time wasted in airport, they should compensate me with something la.. sigh~~ I am really mad have to wait in the airport alone for HOURS~~ waiting for my flight..

They should improve their system la. Al least AirAsia will sms u and tell u ahead of time that the flight is retimed or cancelled! So we do not have to wait in the airport like stupid fella la.. Waiting in airport is really not comfortable as all. If they have nice sofa and cossy environment then different story la. Really do not know what they are thinking and flying MAS is not cheap. They should have enough money to invest in 1 "cell phone" to sms all the customers la.. really disappointed la.

I am still not very sure what is the difference between Flight Delay and Flight Retime.

Saw his heart beat today and I am very excited. According to doctor he is growing well. now he is about 12cm tall. Just pray that he will continue to grow healthily and be a strong boy..

I have a name.. you also have a name.. have u ever wonder where our name came from?

For the pass few days i got some problem trying to figure out what kind of name to give to my baby. at the moment i still do not know my baby is a BOY or a GIRL. I think so hard until i cant really sleep at night la.. hehe.. i m not sure if that is what every parents have to face or just me? jia lat..

I think naming a child is very important. especially people like me with a very unique surname "PUI". Do not get me wrong ok? I m damn proud of my surname because there is not many people out there with this kind of unique family name. When i was young, people always like to make fun of my surname. (U know who u are.. yes!! i am talking about you.. but i forgive you.. hehe..) With that unique Surname, i need to make sure that the name that i am about to give to my baby will flow just right and also sound right. If not.. my baby will suffer in this cruel world!! I've been through that and i know.. hehe.. (Thank God that my name is great.. Gabriel Pui.. yeah~)

this is not finalize, but Me and my wife kind of narrow the name down to this. If the baby is a BOY, then the name will start with 'G'. If the baby is a GIRL, then the name will start with 'K'. there are dunno how many million names out there. to simply pick 1 is really hard. if you only have 2 to choose it's a lot easier rite?

The other day when we went for ultra scan, it's so amazing to see this.. I do not know how to describe my feeling. Esp when the baby "kick".. i saw my baby move for the 1st time.. i am just so so so AMAZED! Praise The Lord!! I have never had that feeling before in my whole life.. I wish i can go see my baby grow every day. but to see 1 time is not cheap la.. RM90 for the photo above!! If see everyday i'll be broke after end of 9 months.. hehe...

Until today i am still wondering what is this 1 Malaysia all about. I think i understand Wawasan 2020 better than this 1 Malaysia. Ok.. I know this is not the latest news.. but i cant stop thinking about this 1 Malaysia thing la..

Things that come to mind after i heard the 1 Malaysia is...

1. Since when there is another Malaysia in this planet earth?
2. Aren't we already 1? Merdeka long time ago liaw..
3. Sabah and Sarawak still not with Malaysia meh? (if yes then will be great la.. yeah~~)
4. What is that fell trying to say here? are we part of Mongolia? (hehe..)
5. May be he is under pressure la.. so simply taruh 1 statement to make headline..

I still do not buy this 1 Malaysia thing la. I do not know about you. But i think this is F.O.C! (C=Crap) i am not trying to be politician here. i just want to point out my view la. for my understanding. there can never be 1 Malaysia. There is never one. i am a Malaysian. Born in Hospital Umum Kapit Sarawak. I am proud to be a Malaysian. I am more proud to be a Sarawakian. But when i begin to see and read and understand more thing. I am actually not a Malaysian. this is because i am a CHINESE. btw.. i am also proud to be a CHINESE! I am just a "malaysian" with a Malaysia I.C..

I do not have any benefits as compare to the rest of the tribes. i need to pay my own university fees. Everything i want, i have to pay using my own hands and sweat and tears. no help from Government. (But I got help from God la.. hehe.. ) When can i be BUMI? i am always a Non-Bumi.. can my kids be BUMI next time? What do i have to do to be a BUMI of Malaysia? i'm born here, bath in Rajang River, drink from the same water supply, eat from the same forest, play on the same mud, climb the same tree, etc. Why so different? is it my eyes a bit more sepet? then i cant be a BUMI? or is is because i have a Chinese Name?

I think this 1 Malaysia will never come true. if BUMI and Non-Bumi still exist! So my fellow friends, i just want to say we are all doing a good job in learning how to be less depended on the system. but we walk our own way and make thing happen with our own hands. (for me of course with the help of God la..)

SO... We continue to stay proud of who we are. We continue to lift our head high for NO ONE can tell us that we are second grade or second class. at times we may feel like one, people may treat us like one, but do not fear... For we know that we are the fighters! the Survivals! We are the Winners!!

I got into an ACCIDENT today!!!

I was on my way back home and i got involve in an accident. 1 victim dead. sigh~~~

I was driving quite fast and it was raining. thinking that i just got myself brand new tyres and also just replaced a new set of brakes, i should be fine. who knows out of a sudden there is 1 group of "people" having lunch in the middle of the road during their lunch break. when i tried to jam my brake, it was too late. i hit one of them and die on the spot. he flew up quite high and landed on my windscreen and fell in front of my car's bonnet.

i am so sorry.. i feel so sad.. i am not sure if the family members will be waiting for him to go back for dinner or not tonight. or may be the children will be waiting for the father to come home. i am sorry.. please forgive me..

hope he rest in peace..

Footprints In The Sand

Amazing story.. Ever since I heard this story, I just fell in love with this story. I read this many many times but still it's a total new encounter when I read this same story at different time in my llife. We are always blinded by our self-centeredness. everything we do, everything we say is always about us and we always think for ourself only.

I just got back from PJ. After 1 week of equipment training. This training is really very draining. morning need to focus on the training and also remember all the equipment parts. then at night need to bring the customer go drink until late.. then next day wake up early again for the whole 1 week.. walauler.. jia lat man.. After coming back, Home is still the best place to be. I am sure many of you will agree with me on this! yeah~~

This weekend, my wife and her girl friends are going to some resort for a girls night out thingy la.. 2days 1 night.. wow...

Meaning to say... I will be...

So i am FREE!!! hahahaha... (she is going to kill me when she read this!)
Free... free.. free... Let me think now... what should i do?? hmmm....

1) play my PS2!! all day long!!! hahaha..
2) sleep anytime i want
3) surf internet
4) Watch Horror DVD...

let's see.. but i just have to make sure i spend my time wisely.. it's a precious weekend for me.. haha...

all the above is what i felt this morning...

after she left.. now i kind of miss her liaw. because we have not been spending much time recently due to my hectic travelling schedule. and i am not sure when i will b heading out again. sigh~~ i hope she have a good break with the other girls la.. i just have to find my own entertainment to kill this lonely weekend la.. and hope that i will be around in kuching next week..

The Ultimate Beef Noodle @ Sibu

Sibu... the land of Swan.. but i do not see any Swan there la.. may be just the sculpture la.. hehe.. To be very honest, there is really nothing much to tell u about Sibu, what i can say is, cheap, huge portion, so-so taste food. every shop I see people selling Kam Pua... Kam Pua... and Kam Pua.. and also a lot of LOUD Speaker Foo Chow people.. (when i say LOUD, I mean LOUD!!) so over all Sibu is a very noisy place! seems like there is no secret there la.. when they speak, people on the other side of the road can also hear.. hahaha... they also don't really need handphone la.. hehe..

I was there last week to service an equipment in Gribbles Lab and the lab people introduce me to this place called Ah Ho Kopi Tiam. they say the beef noodle is very nice. So, i decided to give that a try since i had too much Kam Pua already. hehe..

To my surprise.... the beef noodle is... is... is...

IS THE SOOOOOOO SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!

Ah Ho Kopi Tiam is just opposite SanYan Mall. If not mistaken, that is the ONLY mall in Sibu!! So you will not missed that! SanYan Mall is something like our Tun Jugah or HockLee Centre in Kuching. But you can find a lot of DVD in there... hehe..

The Toughest Job On Earth

This is quite a challenging topic for me. I am not sure about others. What do you think is the toughest job on earth? Is it your current job?

I am very excited when i found out that i am going to "naik pangkat" from a husband to a FATHER. My wife now is 2months plus pregnant. wow.. i seriously do not know how to express my joy and excitement in words la.. at the same time, i also do not know how to express my worries and also fear.. there are always 2 sides to a coin right?

I know baby is a gift from God and i really thank God for that special gift. just that suddenly i am going to step into a very special position where i will be the leader of the house a.k.a HEAD of the house or HEAD of the family. not like last time, just me and my lovely wife. it's something much more than that already. now every word i say, everything action i do my junior will be watching me. i believe that parents will have the most influence on their children. if only me and my wife, i can still fool around and also act stupid at times. but now seems like all that will have to be put aside. i am not sure if i am over reacted or i have old fashion thinking la. i am also not saying that i am not allowed to have fun, but just that i need to have more "proper" fun la. for those who knew me, u will know sometimes i can get a bit out of control when too happy. hahaha... that's just me..

well, this is just my thought for now. i think i need to go find some good material to read and also find out a bit more about parenting la. please feel free to let me know or give me some advice or tips if you have experience in this area. All are welcome!! i know fathering a child it's not going to be easy. during last Father's day, my pastor salute all the fathers because according to him, Fathering is the toughest job on earth. I am a little bit frighten by that, but i think i need to go through it to find out myself if what he said is true la. please do not get me wrong ok? it's not that i do not believe what he said.. hehe..

My favourite saying "never try, never know!" I will continue to update my findings here. I believe this is another new chapter of my life and i am going to explore it. Yeah~~~

I am now in the office waiting for my boss to come. He will be here at 330pm. i will be going to pick him up from the airport. Tonight will be going out for dinner at CourtYard. Never try the food there before. dunno nice or not la.

i remember last time i went there, the place is kind of ah beng. (Ah Beng.. i am not talking about you ok? i am taking about ah beng.. the ah lian's ah beng.. hehe..) the music the played is very "beng", the crowd there also very "beng". hahaha.. i think may be tonight i need to wear more "beng" so i can fit in that place easily la.. can not wear to "shak".. later the "beng" gang will not be happy to see a "shak" gang member there.. "beng" and "shak" are like the greatest rivary in EPL..

No doubt!! He is one of my favourite Liverpool player. When he was still in the mighty red's jersey, every time when some one passed the ball to him, that very moment will really get me off the chair because the ball is going to be behind the net soon.. I just want to get up and have a closer look at how he is going to score..

That is a really big reduction! But he will get extra if he were to score for ManU and also play for ManU.

What I can say now is "All the Best Owen! and it hurts to see you in that jersey!"

I am not the biggest fan of Michael Jackson. But i know he is a real legend! R.E.S.P.E.C.T!! To be very honest with you, not many people can be like him today. He is really a World known Artist! Anywhere you, you can ask around i am 101% confident and sure that people recognize him. Justin Timberlake, Brittney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Lima Puluh Sen, etc.. all need to take their number and wait in line for their Queue la.. (wait long long la...) you know what. when MJ is famous, there is no this thing called Internet!! and yet he can be known around the world. with internet, those artists also cannot beat him la.. That's what i called a LEGEND!

He not only rock the whole world with his music, but he also make a very very big impact in the movie industies with his super hit "Thriller" MV. The best part is still his self-invented Dance move.. the MoonWalk.. yeah~ (i've got a friend tried to do this move during a bachelor party and he fell faced down and busted his own lips! hahaha... dunno if he got read my blog or not la.. haha! peace man! peace!!) if you notice, when there is a family dinner gathering at restaurant, there is always 1 slice of vegetable, 1 piece of meat, 1 spoon of rice left on each plates. I wonder why is that so? what is there to show? who is going to eat that? is that for the kitchen people? for stray dogs? it's not like that is dirty or something right? Think about it..

Words:
i do not know about other race, but as for most 99.9% Chinese, we always want to be "humble". when people praise us "WOW! you are very good.", "Wow!! you are so pretty/handsome!!" we will certainly say "NO LAH!! Where got good! OK only lah..", "NO LAH!! Where got pretty/handsome!"

Food:
why do we only to eat orange during Chinese New Year? why not through out the whole year? why do we need to drink shark fin soup? what is good in there for us? do we really know? that small little bowl of soup can really help to make us healthy, look younger/prettier, become smarter? I do not think so. i dont think that is even enough to supply for my finger nail.

same question again, why do we do the things that we do? are we doing all the above because we want to impress people? do we know what we are doing? Or are we just following what people say and do not really think twice before we do,say,eat...?

As i get older, i began to realize there are many things in life that we seriously need to think again before we react. we may have traditional teaching from our great-great-great grandparents. but is it still applicable in today's life. remember our great-great-great grandparents time, they walk, they no use handphone, no sms, no computer, etc.. it's a totally different world than what we live in today.

We need to keep the VALUE.. like: Humble, thrifty, health conscious, u name it...

But the how to do it part/action part... it's for our generation to think what is the best way to do it so that it will be applicable today. i do not think our great-great-great grandparents can tell us or show us how to do in today's life right?

Internet Access!!

It's been a while since i update my own blog. i have been busy with new work and also traveling. recently i found out 1 thing. after some intense traveling schedule. you may ask me how come i do not update my blog when i was in the hotel during night time? Ok.. this is the deal..

in good hotel like Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton, Four Seasons... all need to pay for internet access. of course i dun stay in that kind of hotel during my traveling time la.. hahaha... i am just trying to give you some idea. the charges is very interesting. the hotel i stay in PJ is called Armarda Hotel. for internet access i have to pay RM20 for 2 hours. for 24 hours the charges is RM40. What kind of deal is that? there is no internet access in the lobby as well.. if i wanna use the access there, i also need to pay ythe same rate.. KaNaSai!

i do not know why they need to charge so expensive for that. now we can easily get internet access everywhere la.. Backpackers and also the cheap motel all are equipt with WiFi service. KFC now also got WiFi la.. even the old old kopitiam in Kuching where normally the ah pek society will hang out also got WiFi service la. (of course i do not see any ah pek surfing net in kopitiam la! hahaha..)

hmmm.. How to turn on this machine??

come on la.. i seriously do not understand la.. all the hotels are all super start rated 1.. is not like 1 night stay in the hotel is cheap or something la.. if u were to compare with 1 cup of KOPI 'O' KAU...

Paris Hilton's Friends

On the 1st of May, a few of us make a trip to visit Paris Hilton's Hotel in Batang Ai. It's about 4 hours drive from town. after breakfast we begin our journey..

It was a wonderful day, the weather was amazing.. suddenly Sam slow down the car and there was Traffic Jam?!?! in my mind i was like.. "May be people is heading back to their home town for a break... so Normal lah!"

Since the car is not moving.. why dun we have a break... Have a Kit-Kat!!! haha... (Lame..) then me and my wife begin to do advertisement in the car to entertain our self..

ermm.. i think should open the plastic only can eat la.. (blooper..)

I couldnt remember how long we waited, but quite long la.. then the traffic begin to move and to our surprise how come got fire engine there.. they also wanna go for holiday?? Actually the Traffic Jam was caused by an Accident. It's quite a bad 1 involving a Proton WIRA and Hilux.. I think Proton Won la.. because the Hilux was in the drain.. I hope the drivers or passengers are fine la.. check this out...

Clement told me there is a famous Satay Mee.. so we took a detour there to find food.. unfortunately the shop is CLOSED!!!!!!! then we need to have lunch in KFC.. to my surprise the chicken in Sri Aman is so less oily compare to the chicken in Kuching.. may be they used free range chicken.. hmm...

Anyway.. after 4 long hours drive.. Finally.. the DAMN!!! ops... dam!!

with the boat there.. we waited for another 2 hours.. according to the boat man there is a bunch of foreign Visitors on their way to the resort too... KNS!!! what is this man... why do we have to wait for them? is it because they are from overseas? by then we were all drained and tired.. whole day waiting.. we were so PISSED!! and also so so so so speechless la.. my camera also low batt liaw.. and mosquito started to attack us at the Jetty...

When we arrived at Batang Ai Hilton, we were so angry that we ran straight to the front desk and started to scream at them and asking them how can they make us wait for other people for 2 hours.. instead they could have bring us over 1st and make another trip for the foreigners.. we also told them that we knew their owner... (Paris Hilton.. haha..) then they gave us compliment dinner for 4 persons.. that didnt really calmed us down.. but after we checked into the hotel and took a shower.. everything just back to normal and that's when we realized that our holiday just began!!

Short Trip to Keningau..

I have not been to Keningau before until Yesterday. I got a call from my boss asking me to go over to Keningau to help to fix a problem.

So on Monday morning i woke up early and ask my wife to drop me at Kuching International Airport at 8am. My flight was 9am. then arrived at Kota Kinabalu International Airport at around 1030am. Then i went to the taxi booth to take a cab to Keningau. which is about 2 hours away from KK. guess what? the fare to Keningau from KK cost me RM 200!!!

Yes! RM200!!!!!!! this more expensive than my air ticket la. This Keningau place is even further than for me to fly from Kuching to KK.

So ok la.. i got into the cab and start the journey la.. the road is something like the road going to Cameron Highland. very very challenging and the Happy RM200 Taxi Driver is very skilled and manage to bring me to Keningau Hospital at 1pm. total journey from Kuching to Keningau is 5hours!! Walauler...

So i went to the lab and look for the person in charge of the Lab. unfortunately everyone went out for lunch and the whole Lab is Empty. Kosong! not even a mosquito in there.. so i waited for my "customer" to return la.. finally then appear at 2pm. great!! finally can start to look and listen to what is the problem. When they saw me standing there with my luggage, u can tell as if they see "god" la.. since they see "god" in me, i just pretend to be "god" la.. hahaha... i guess that is a good sign right? they treat me like "god" of that equipment. Wow...

Guess what?? it took me 30min to fix the problem and the "customer" is even more so so happy. i am even more "god" now! hahaha.... but bare in mind i am only 3 weeks old with this new company. hahaha.. i guess i am lucky la.. able to fix heir problem and also give them a good impression.

the lab assistant offer to give me a lift to the nearest bus station to catch a bus back to KK. i am so happy la. i only know them for like 1 hour. then they treat me so nice. i am so touched la. when i reached the bus station, there is one bus there waiting to depart. i arrived and 345pm and the bus is leaving at 4pm. Amazing!! Praise The Lord!! hahaha.. can go back to KK right away! there is nothing much in Keningau also la. just a very small town like Sri Aman.

To my great surprise, the bus fare is only RM13 back to KK!!!!!!!!!!
I was like "WHAT?!?!?!" i can even pay the bus RM30 for a trip back!! as compare to my RM200 Taxi fare.. the journey back to KK is 2.5hours. I arrived KK around 630pm. my dad took me from the bus station.

Oh ya... there is one thing i forgot to say.. I only had Breakfast early in the morning with my wife. then i do not have time for lunch since i was in "god" mode.. haha.. by the time i arrived in KK i was like so so super hungry. and my dad brought me for the famous Kota Kinabalu Seafood Dinner!!!

New Job, New company, New Beginning

This will be very short update about my new job. It is a very special moment in my life. coming out from an almost jobless situation to finding another new job. That feeling is really unspeakable joy.

this new company is called Roche Diagnostics. I started this new job on the 4th May 2009. The main instrument that this company produce is to do blood test and also urine test or any kind of fluid that u can find in a human body.

this new job is very interesting. i came from totally different working environment. i was with manufacturing line for the pass 5 years. and now i am working with medical line. Basically i am new to this new field. the terms they use is also very medical. i am from engineering background. the last time that i touch anything regarding biology subject is back in 1998. more than 10 years ago... D@mn~ hahaha...

but i am coping well and still learning. it's gonna be a very interesting journey for me. life is all about learning right?? i guess this is no different from my previous job. i am going to give my best shot and see how far i can go.. yeah~~
